FLORA LONDON MARATHON 2008
We are delighted that Julie Graham (pictured) chose to run the 2008 Flora London Marathon on behalf of SARDA Lakes - Julie completed the course in 4 hours and 9 minutes - fantastic time (and a 13 minute improvement on her previous best).
Julie met up with handler Les Telford and searchdog Kess for a quick photo session on the 27th January....... and we are hoping to meet up with Julie for a post celebratory picture session soon!!

ABOUT JULIE
Julie is the Director and Principal Consultant of Julie Graham Associates based near Lancaster working extensively with organisations (such as English Heritage, Reebok, Cumbria Vision and the National Trust) throughout the North West to design and implement marketing plans and strategies. She has an MA in Marketing Management with Distinction from Lancaster University Management School, where she is an external supervisor on the Lancaster MBA, - and a marathon runner! She enjoys spending time with her daughter, travel, horse-riding, her Labrador and all things Italian.
‘I started running when, with a 2 year old child and a business to run, I could no longer afford the time to spend long days walking on the Lake District fells. My first mile became a regular 6 and before I knew it, I had been persuaded to enter the 1998 BUPA Great North Run. This was my first half-marathon and I was hooked! Several half-marathons and 2 years later I ran the London Marathon for the first time and managed 5 hours and 10 mins with an injured ankle. In 2006, after several more half-marathons and tough fell runs with my Labrador (amidst the Lake District hills), I ran London once again- this time in a very credible 4hours, 22 mins and 19 secs. I am delighted to be running the 2008 London Marathon to raise money for SARDA and raise awareness of their dedicated and often unrecognised work that could potentially touch all of us who walk, run or cycle in the mountains of the Lake District.’
